  Where The Winner Gets To Play At Bloodtstock & Maybe Considerably More Thereafter.

  The contest is open to metal bands of all genres based within a 'vaguely sensible'
  travelling distance of BOURNEMOUTH. Bands from PORTSMOUTH, SOUTHAMPTON,
  SALISBURY, WINCHESTER, WEYMOUTH & further afield are welcome.
 

  The M2TM contest dates are as follows:

  HEATS: (Three bands each, one goes through to the Semis)

  Friday 6 January
  Friday 10 February
  Friday 24 February
  Friday 2 March
  Friday 9 March
  Friday 23 March
  Friday 30 March
  Friday 13 April
  Friday 20 April
  Friday 27 April
  Friday 4 May
  Friday 11 May

  SEMIS: (Three bands in each, the winners from the heats.
  One progresses to the Final! There is the possibity of some 'best of the rest' positions
  from the heats should the spaces arise)

  Friday 1 June
  Friday 15 June
  Friday 22 June
  Friday 29 June

  FINAL: (Four winners from the Semis, one wins & goes to Bloostock!)

  Friday 13 July

 JUDGING & OTHER RULES:

  The finals judged by the M2TM people.

  The HEATS & SEMIS WILL BE JUDGED USING A TOTAL OF 100 POINTS AS FOLLOWS:

  The No of people who come to see you (max 10 points)

  Audience reaction (max 20 points)

  Four experienced judges for the music (max 10 points each)

  Professionalism judged by the soundman Alfi & myself for prompt & good
  communication when organising the gig, turning up on time, expedient changeovers
  etc (max 10 points)

  On stage performance, a maximum of 20 points to be decided by the judges on how
  much the bands 'go for it'

  Sets will be no longer than 30 mins.
  For the heats & semis, arrival time 6pm. Doors open 8pm. First band on stage 8:30pm.

  Playing order will be decided randomly a few weeks (or as long as possible) before the
  event with the last band playing providing the majority of the backline minus
  disposables.
